EMDR Therapist Merch I Actually Wanted to Wear: Introducing Club07Clear Shop

There have been multiple times I’ve been looking online for EMDR therapist merch, for photo shoots, trainings, or just to sport around, and I kept coming back to the same thing:

Nothing was really that cute or catchy.

A lot of the EMDR shirts and therapist merch I found felt generic, and there just wasn’t much variety. Where was all the cute, fun EMDR merch?!

And listen, I’m a merch girl. I love a comfy tee during the hot months and an oversized sweatshirt on a chilly, rainy day. And therapist merch allows me to do this while still feeling somewhat “professional.”

So after identifying a problem, I decided to solve it by making the EMDR merch I wanted to exist.

This week, I officially launched Club07Clear Shop, a collection of EMDR shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, and gifts made specifically for EMDR therapists.

Truthfully, what started as one or two shirt ideas tumbleweeded into a much bigger project than I expected. I started visualizing shirts everywhere. I felt like Taylor Swift putting voice notes in my phone so I wouldn’t forget a funny pun or random idea.

What started as a slightly random idea pretty quickly turned into a passion project.

Why I Started Making EMDR Therapist Merch

I spend a lot of my professional life thinking about EMDR. Literally. It’s kinda all I do.

I’m an EMDR therapist, consultant-in-training, educator, and the person behind Club07Clear, where I create free EMDR education for clinicians.

And somewhere along the way, I realized that I wanted EMDR therapist merch I would actually wear.

Not generic “therapist” merch.

Not something that just says mental health matters.

I wanted the inside jokes. The phrases that immediately make another EMDR therapist go, Yep. You’re one of us.

Things like:

And, of course, a little love for the woman who started all of this, Francine Shapiro.

And honestly, I’ve noticed my clients get a kick out of the shirts too. After spending months hearing me ask, “What are you noticing now?” or listening to me explain working memory theory, they’re in on the joke too.

So I started designing.

Club07Clear Shop Is Officially Here

The shop currently has more than 30 EMDR-inspired shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, and other designs, and I’m still figuring out what Club07Clear Shop will eventually become.

Some designs are very obviously EMDR.

Others are more subtle.

But they’re all created with EMDR clinicians in mind.

I wanted the shop to feel like it was made by someone who actually gets EMDR therapists—fun, a little nerdy, full of inside jokes, and stuff I’d genuinely want to wear.

These aren’t generic designs I slapped my logo on. Every design started with an idea—usually a phrase, an inside joke, or something about EMDR that made me think, wait, that needs to be a shirt.

I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time playing with the concepts, tweaking designs, changing fonts, moving things around, ordering samples, and making sure they actually feel like something I’d be excited to wear myself.

My Hope? Seeing My EMDR Merch at an EMDRIA Conference

One of my little goals for Club07Clear Shop is to eventually walk around an EMDRIA conference and see someone wearing one of my designs.

I may not see that this year—the shop literally just launched!

But the idea that someday I could be walking through a conference and randomly spot an EMDR therapist wearing a shirt or sweatshirt that started as a ridiculous voice note in my phone is pretty freaking cool.

For now, though, this is very much an experiment.

I have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen with this shop.

Maybe EMDR therapists have secretly been waiting for better EMDR merch.

Maybe I will be the proud owner of a very tiny Etsy shop that sells a shirt every once in a while.

Both are okay with me.

Right now, I’m having fun creating the EMDR shirts, sweatshirts, and gifts that I wish existed and seeing which designs other clinicians connect with.

And after spending so much of my professional life doing very serious trauma work, there is something genuinely fun about having a creative project that can just be...well... fun.

If you’re an EMDR therapist looking for EMDR shirts, EMDR sweatshirts, stickers, therapist gifts, or something fun to wear to your next EMDR training or EMDRIA conference, Club07Clear Shop is officially open on Etsy.

And if you end up wearing one of my designs out in the wild, please tag me @saratheemdrsocialworker.

Seeing EMDR therapists actually wearing something that started as a random idea in my head might be my favorite part of this whole experiment.
